The following information is a basic summary of the (3) time off plans available at Southwest Care Center. For full details including eligibility and utilization requirements, please see the associated Time Off Policy & Procedures.

PAID TIME OFF PLAN (PTO)
Positions assigned the Paid Time Off Plan (PTO) and who work 20 to 40 hours a week will begin accruing immediately upon hire. The accruals are inclusive of vacation and sick leave, with the latter being required under the New Mexico Healthy Workplaces Act. The following accrual rates are based on a 40-hour work. Reduced hours will result in a pro-ration of accruals.
Years of Service Accrual Rate per Bi-weekly Period Annual PTO Accrual*
0 to end of 5th yr of service 7.69 hours 25 days (200 hrs.)
6th to end of 9th yr of service 9.23 hours 30 days (240 hrs.)
10th through duration of service 10.77 hours 35 days (280 hrs.)
Automatic roll-over of up to 120 hours will occur with cash out available for any hours over 120. Additionally, team members with this time off plan also have an additional (9) paid holidays and (2) personal leave days.
EXECUTIVE TIME OFF PLAN (ETO)
Positions assigned the Executive Time Off Plan (ETO) and who work 20 to 40 hours a week will have an up-front distribution to their ETO bank at time of hire and then each January following. Like PTO, this distribution is inclusive of vacation and sick leave, with the latter being required under the New Mexico Healthy Workplaces Act. The ETO distribution is based on a 40-hour work and working the full calendar year. Reduced hours will result in a pro-ration of distribution. Additionally, the first year of service is pro-rated to reflect the hire date.
Years of Service Annual ETO Distribution
Hire Date to 12/31 of same year 5 weeks of ETO pro-rated from hire
Jan. 1 of first full year of service to end of 5th year of service 5 weeks of ETO (200 hrs.)
Jan. 1 of 6th full year of service to end of 9th year of service 6 weeks of ETO (240 hrs.)
Jan. 1 of 10th full year of service through duration of service 7 weeks of ETO (280 hrs.)
No roll-over available under this plan but cash-out available for up to 80 hours remaining in the ETO bucket at the end of the calendar year. Additionally, team members with this time off plan also have (9) paid holidays and (2) personal leave days. An additional 5 CME days are available to certain licensed individuals. If eligible, you HR representative will provide you with more details.
PAID SICK TIME OFF ONLY PLAN
For team members who are not eligible for the PTO or ETO plans but are eligible for paid sick time off under the New Mexico Healthy Workplaces Act, you will accrue 1 hour of paid sick time off for every 30 hours worked up to 64 hours annually. Accruals begin at your date of hire.
